About The Event
Our organisation is working towards healthier streams along the Whau river through community participation and kaitiakitanga (guardianship and protection). We deliver a wide range of community-based environmental projects, principally in collaboration with the Auckland Council and other key stakeholders within the catchment, to return the river and its streams to a healthy condition for future generations to live, work and play in this irreplaceable taonga.
One of these projects is the development of Te Whau Coastal Pathway project. The pathway is to be a 16km long shared walkway linking 33 reserves, esplanades, parks and cul-de-sacs along the western edge of the Whau River.
