Welcome back.
We at WRCT are looking forward to 2019 and being able to work with all our community Volunteers who continue to support the ecological restoration of the Whau River catchment. It is your support that makes this possible.
Their are all sorts of Volunteer field opportunities such as planting out Eco-sourced native plants from May through to October, or helping to control weed growth around the newly planted areas, or the mulching of planted areas over summer, helping with animal pest control throughout the year, clearing up litter and in particular plastics before they get into our harbours etc.
As well as all the above opportunities Volunteer help is always needed with the Whau Biodiversity Surveys and other programmes which monitor the state of our waterways using Wai Care for the freshwater streams and Marine m2 for our saline tidal areas.
